Clough, Olson and Herman Receive ASTE Award for Paper
A paper written by two of Iowa State University's science education faculty in the School of Education, Dr. Michael P. Clough and Dr. Joanne K. Olson, in collaboration with ISU alumnus, Dr. Benjamin Herman, has been selected for the Association for Science Teacher Education's 2012 Implications of Research for Education Practice Award. The paper, Teachers’ NOS [Nature of Science] Implementation Practices Two to Five Years after Having Completed an Intensive Science Education Program, was presented at the 2012 ASTE International Conference. A version of this conference paper will be published in the journal Science Education.
The paper is based on research conducted while Dr. Herman was a Ph.D. student at Iowa State, under the guidance of Drs. Clough and Olson. Dr. Herman received his Ph.D. from Iowa State in 2010 and is currently a member of the faculty at the University of South Florida.
